HERE IS HOW YOU KILL GOOGLE

This is a red board which means that it's strictly for adults (Not Safe For Work content only). If you see any illegal content, please report it.

Thread replies: 333

the anon who said to fuck with their data and ad business had it right. here's how you do it:

install the browser plugin ad nauseam

>As online advertising becomes ever more ubiquitous and unsanctioned, AdNauseam works to complete the cycle by automating Ad clicks universally and blindly on behalf of its users. Built atop uBlock Origin, AdNauseam quietly clicks on every blocked ad, registering a visit on ad networks' databases. As the collected data gathered shows an omnivorous click-stream, user tracking, targeting and surveillance become futile.

ad nauseam is effective enough that google banned it from the chrome store. fortunately you can still install it in under 2 minutes :)

Instead we should attack their surroundings.

ads are only a small fraction of their business model, making profiles of certain demographics and analyzing consumer trends is where the money is.

An app like this will make that impossible. If everyone clicks EVERY add they see, google would be out of business.

>block google in websites it pushes it's way into using noscript and privacy badger/disconnect
>spread memes about google's cancer to others with similar instructions on how to boycott
>>
Online advertising is already a sham. Advertisers pay earning sites like instagc or Swagbucks to click or sign up for their shit all the time anyways. I don't think this technique will do anything but let the advertisers convince their client companies that their ads are doing great.

For which they'll pay, and then they notice they spend thousands more on ads without an equivalent result in revenue.
Eventually it becomes to expensive to buy adspace with Google.
>>
>>136583047
thats why the new chrome comes with an adblocker pre installed?
>>
>>136580604
I just have one issue with this. Ad Nauseam functions like this right
>program already "clicks" on the ad, registering a visit with the ad networks database
>registers a visit

I'm not tech savvy, but don't they still get paid, regardless of the fact that user data and surveillance is useless?
After all, we're still *technically* visiting the ad site, albeit indirectly and through a proxy. Isn't it that that gives Google money?

t. i broke my computer twice before I even finished building it
>>
>>136583301
no, you pay google upfront for that publicity
>>
>>136583207
Yes. A very controlled adblocker.
They want as many people as possible using Chrome, so by offering an adblocker they signal their sympathy with the end user, as well as offer a platform that adjudicates the quality of advertising.

They want control. Serving an adblocker is but a means to an end.

This request is made without opening any additional windows or pages on your computer. The text-only request is safely discarded by AdNauseam before it has a chance to execute in the browser (no DOM is constructed and no code is ever allowed to run). Further, all cookies from AdNauseam's visits are automatically blocked before they reach the browser's local storage.

The best option is something to reduce business and consumer confidence in them
Something that will make people think they aren't as powerful, invincible or eternal as they may seem. Google runs entirely on ads. Personal profiles based on browsing behaviour are the big pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and this application helps nuke that profile.
Not only does it become more expensive and eventually unprofitable for businesses to advertise with Google, the profiles they're paying top $$$ for are the product that's keeping Google afloat.

Guys.
Even if everyone on this website starts using this addon, it will make little to no difference in the global scheme, and not because the people using it are small in comparison to the number of google users (which is true of course), but because google uses personalized profiles to target adds, and what you will be doing is messing your own personalized profile with little impact on what everyone else is doing online.

You will only achieve a weirder sample of adds being shown to -you-.

The goal shouldn't be to destroy Google's ad business, because it's simply too large to realistically do that. The goal should be to make Facebook ads look more attractive by selectively targeting some large advertisers that have pricey CPC keywords. Insurance, online education, jewelry, legal advice. You can find the CPC rates within their Ad portal and by searching for "most expensive CPC keywords"
>>
>>136582841
Doing something like op proposes is literally orders of magnitude more effective. Google is user data. Google is only as valuable as that user data is. One person can through conscious effort do quite a bit of damage to that data pool which has a knock-on effect to various companies that choose to use Google's data.

Opting out of google's services is just a one time hit that only lasts as long as it takes for a new user to sign up.

A better strategy would be to selectively click on all SJW links and results. So they get a wrong profile about you.

Hi, I'm the anon behind the original idea. I thought of making something from scratch, but nice to see there's a plugin.
The important thing about it is making sure the clicks count towards google as well, since the advertisers have to pay google for every click.
Sounds awesome if so.
I'll look into building something from scratch during the weekend.

Not sure if this will work. Even if it does, they'll just move on to more annoying methods for showing adverts. It's not unlike viruses and antivirus software, where antivirus has to be updated constantly to be efficient against newly made viruses.

That and they could still make huge profit by selling your personal data, or your clicking habits, to other advertisers.

Can't look bad. Anons are already the scum of the earth to these people. What is needed, and is right within this communities field of expertise, is a broad campaign to make Google uncool. Leverage your powers to dictate what is cool and what is gay on the internets. You wan't 14 year old teenagers to look at a Google browser or google hardware and internally think "That's gay" We all enjoyed Youtube for far too long and continued to do so after it was lost to Google years ago. It is time to start pushing content creators onto "cool" new platforms that are created by /ourguys/ or at least neutral. Right now through both the whole net neutrality thing and a months long concerted attack (going back to the Pewdiepie's a Nazi thing), Big Cable has been going hard after the internet because they're dying. They've been working their asses off to strip revenue streams from big internet companies like Alphabet (via poisoning the well against both adsense and youtube) or somehow claim a portion of it for themselves.

There's a lot of really big shit going on now that literally is determining what the future will look like.

Each fake click costs Google maybe $0.01

Each user running Adnauseum might generate 50 fake clicks a day. $0.50

Honestly, all I can tell you is to go take some statistics classes. The way they use data can be manipulated and shifted by a relatively small portion of their user base. Even if they do figure out how to parse out the bad data reliably, that's still forcing them to expend resources they wouldn't have otherwise spent.

Wrong. The extension also silently clicks on ads, creating fake traffic and costing the advertiser money.

Over time, it dilutes the value of all advertising on Google, because nobody knows if their ad spending is going toward real clicks or fake ones.

The reason they build those profiles (besides control) is that they're worth a lot of money in the information trade.
Being able to serve a specific ad that has a higher ROI for the buyer of the adspace thanks to those profiles is an expense well worth paying, and it has the added benefit of allowing the exact same adspace to be sold many times over, since every unique profile can be served different ads.

While this hiking of adspace pricing is the obvious goal and relatively easily achieved, it's the nuking of resale avenues for those adspaces that are key.
>>
>>136588973

Here is how it works in a nutshell
>Google uses AdSense to run ads on a majority of websites
>Google monitors which ads you click on, what you search, what you watch on YouTube, etc. to make a profile based on you
>Google will use your profile to run targeted ads against you (i.e. if you watch a lot of video game reviews on YouTube, search for video game stuff, etc. then Google will run video game ads against you)
>Google then turns around and sells these profiles to marketing companies so they know how to market towards your group
AdNauseam clicks on all the ads, all the time, everywhere. You AdSense profile is ruined because it's just a clusterfuck of clicking on any and all ads. If you block ads, you aren't giving Google any data - but they still get plenty of data from other people who don't block ads. The more people who use AdNauseam, the more effective it is.

Google is big and powerful, yes.

But they are more vulnerable than you realize.

Google is ultimately a web ads company. Something like 93% of their revenue is from web ads.

The entire thing is built on top of clicking these bullshit jewish ads.

Ad blockers have increased in popularity exponentially over the last few years and it is hurting the industry. The entire web is hurting because of this. Which is fine by me, because most of the web is jewish garbage.

The more clicks, the higher the payment.
The idea is that by raising the payments high enough, businesses lose money on advertising and are incentivised to stop advertising with Google.
Google will earn more money until that threshold is reached. From there onwards, it's nothing but losing.

I think this could be true for certain types of corporations and not others. BP/Shell and other major oil firms bring oil which we all depend on. People can bitch and moan about their practices but at the end of the day everyone depends on their products so they are basically untouchable. Same for major supply enterprises. Googles product from the users perspective was always the algos. It has the best search algorithm. The thing that has made it major, the ads, are unwanted from the users perspective. So I don't really see any reason Google can't go the way of the Dodo while Standard Oil remains happily pumping away for another century.

Plus the actual businesses that pay google to use AdSense have to pay for the clicks of people who aren't actually clicking ads, which means as more people use the system a greater proportion of their payments are for unused/unseen adverts.

This means they get less value for money and are less likely to take out advertising in the first place, again dependent on the addon getting more popular.

It basically pisses on all (((advertising))) and the whole business model of brainwashing people into buying products they would not otherwise buy.

Someone needs to implement a bot program to click ads, name it some fruity-gay google sounding shit, utilize it for a while, and then reveal it to some of the bigger ad buyers. They will be pissed and may even suspect it was Google

Google doesn't get that much money from ad-revenue, they get more by selling data. It's how facebook is still around - data. Information is worth so much more than ads.
People can get banned from Google AdSense if they have a suspicious amount of clicks, too.

Firefox is compromised.
More and more their need for leftist pandering increases. An increasing amount of coders there are leftists and women.
Next update they're even dropping 32-bit support, because they can't keep up.

One big guy at Mozilla got fired for some reason, and he ended up creating Brave, an incredibly fast browser that comes as standard with adblocking. It's pretty basic and YouTube stutters, really annoying, but apart from that it's my main browser.

Operation google was probably the brainchild of a research group studying 4chins as the researchers talked about it at length. I think a lot of us ended up dropping it before the research came out though.

You guys havent thought this through. You have to think like someone who gathers data, all you're doing right now is creating a pattern which can be filtered. Sure it temporarily clogs up the pipes, but it does nothing long term, with this implementation.

If I wanted to filter out your data, it's obvious what to look for. What I'm getting at is that you need a non-reversible function to hide your data corruption. Simply clicking a number of ads is a reversible function, because all I need to know is how many ads you would click with this method, then root your data out of the system.

So you need to set up a ad-clicking behavior whose results can't be calculated by knowing the function that seeded them. Meaning, even if they knew you used this software, they couldn't learn anything about another person using this software and that the output of results will be different for every input

This. Automating it to endlessly target the most expensive and SJW friendly search terms seems like the way to make this truly effective. But, you'd think google would already constantly be under such attacks.

You're mistaken, P&G already reacted. Google already reduced payouts. Advertisers are boycotting.

>a pattern that can be filtered
It's really hard o deduce a pattern from randomly worded searches
>ad clicks are a reversible function
Also probably illegal for Jewgle to do as the ad companies would be like "HEY how do you know that click didn't count?", a huge argument ensues and then we laugh as the salt mines magically resupply themselves.

Blocking ads means nothing, google gets data on what you click, if you falsify that data google cannot get anything on you, as they do not know what data is truthful and what is false

This. If the data is contradicting then its shit.
