The University scoring system is strange. It makes no difference in terms of the employability of the degree; ie. if you have a Bachelor of Arts from a local school in Feminism you get the same number of points as a Bachelor of Mathematics from Harvard?

Also the Nobel/Olympic point thing is very odd-- you can already get in on a O1 - Special Ability Visa and quickly get a green card.

If you have 1.35M+ you can get in on an E5.

I see the Bill will have a list of US institutions and US-equivalent institutions (ie. top Canadian/British/Australian/NZ Universities will count as US-equivalent where as other Universities will get dinged 1-3 points).

It gives a slight point advantage to US-degree equivalent (ie. 4-5 year degrees taught in an G7 English environment).
