There's not enough backbone in Christian leaders to ever call a crusade. The Papacy has been ignorant or wilfully stupid about Islam concerning Islam in modern times considering our history between the two religions. There's no will to fight because we have a growing liberal society where emotions matter more than facts. Simply won't happen and I can't see any circumstance changing that either, since the Papacy will just double down and claim Islam is a religion of peace even as our nations are outbred and outfought by Muslim invaders.
