Russia is one of few countries where the likelihood for men to live until age 65 has actually fallen in past decades despite massive global improvements in medical knowledge and technology.
In 1960 Russian men had a 57% chance to reach 65. In 2015 they had a 55% chance. In comparison in 1960 Ethiopian men only had a 26% chance of reaching 65 but now have a 62% chance. Globally the probability for men to reach 65 has gone from 43% in 1960 to 72% in 2015.

But hey at least at they have those 'traditional Orthodox values', right /pol/? That makes everything worth it. I'd much rather be a Russian who'll die at age 30 from alcohol poising or from a HIV infection received from injecting his already rotting arm with Krokodil than live a country where gays are allowed to get married.

Good for them. Life isn't worth living past 30 anyways.

Fucking disappointing.
Wow it is almost like Russia didn't have a tough history for the last 100 years.
Besides that Russia is the fastest empire(Soviet union) to stabilize and regain its power.
They still got a long way to go but Russia will be one of the white countries that will at least survive in the future.
Sure it isn't paradise compared to the Netherlands for middle-class but one day they will become our level in development or maybe even better
What the fuck happened in Russia in 2002?

You forgot that Russia has fucking Caucasian republics and everything close to Mongolia is Iraq-tier.
I wanna see the statistics for European Russia only.

the trend obviously started in 1985
I even wrote a little poem about it in Russian:
Tяжeлo paбoтaют,
Maлo пoлyчaют.
Пo вpaчaм нe хoдят,
Paнo yмиpaют.
