Depending on where you live in the us there may not be catholic church for a hundred miles, but it's demographically catholic is much smaller over all compared to baptist/pentecostal/lutheran so catholic churches are mostly in bigger cities and protestant churches are in small towns and rural. Community is always better in the small town churches imo, greater cross section of ages and rich/poor. Some metro churches are just gentrified and have no younger people.
