>>136365293

Dunkirk was such a badly timed film... this nonsense about British exceptionalism. Britain has been struggling to find it's place in the world for a long time now and it's only going to get more isolated after Brexit. The size of the uneducated ignorant underclass in this country is a fucking millstone around it's neck, it's honestly embarrassing, and it's going to drag us down.
>>
>>136365463
Not really, my point was consistent from the beginning, and the fact is Eddie and his anonymous friend have been wrong, over and over again.

Part of me thinks they've just missed the point I was trying to make.
>>
Earlier, Rightly So was having another argument that he was losing, about Hitchens I think it was, and he said something about how not even YKTD always agreed with him.

How brain damaged must you be to hold up cunting YKTD as some yardstick with which all logic must be compared to? What grown man appeals to some stranger he will never meet as some wisened sage?

He's not worthy of anyone's time.

>>
>>136365597
I started to "read" Strange Death of Europe in audiobook form instead, obviously, it is going to be written from a civic perspective, but he makes up for it in his well backed up assertions that people from different countries bring in different cultures, and that it is not possible for those cultures to harmoniously run in parallel. The two standout bits of the book so far are his demolishing of the mantras that migration is a net financial benefit to the country, and that we are a nation of migrants. Also deals rather well the "we need more migrants because they make more children and we need that for our pyramid scheme" argument.

If it's a choice between A Brief History of Crime and Abolition of Britain for your first Hitchens book then AoB will probably give you a much better foundation.
>>
>>136365714
I am that "Anonymous friend" and yes, I did miss your point, we've been over this. You were making the point that the Queen should have an opinion, she already can do this so I assumed Assent, quite quickly we established you didn't know what you meant since the only way you could define it was by adding the words "strongly" or "forcefully" to it - which she can't do, because of precedence.

The commercialisation of space travel can only be delayed so long - under the current system at least - and what happens after that will be very interesting. It's hard to see how a breakaway group of ethnically homogeneous (and enshrined so) 'civilisations' or whatever you want to label them as, will not immediately begin gaining ground on the mixed 'nations' left on Earth.

This is beyond our life-spans, of course, but so long as there is a significant body of English people on this planet for the next century or two, independent 'colonies' will be feasible and will happen.

You haven't yet explain why it dictates anything.

I understand precedence in every sense except the one you're invoking. How on earth does it prevent the Queen from doing something just because no other Monarch has before?

It doesn't legally, in the same sense judges are bound to stare stare decisis, but precedence is the reason it will not happen in our lifetime. You realize you're arguing reality (what I'm saying) over your made-up world in which Monarchs act as 20th century Dictators?

No, how the hell could I undermine its importance, when our unbalanced constitutional system is a direct result of these powers being undermined, largely through tradition and precedence?

Again, to go over the Queen's (theoretical) legal powers.

https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200304/cmselect/cmpubadm/422/42204.htm

>. The Queen's constitutional prerogatives are the personal discretionary powers which remain in the Sovereign's hands. They include the rights to advise, encourage and warn Ministers in private; to appoint the Prime Minister and other Ministers; to assent to legislation; to prorogue or to dissolve Parliament; and (in grave constitutional crisis) to act contrary to or without Ministerial advice. In ordinary circumstances The Queen, as a constitutional monarch, accepts Ministerial advice about the use of these powers if it is available, whether she personally agrees with that advice or not. That constitutional position ensures that Ministers take responsibility for the use of the powers.

Mary Beard has said she faced a “torrent of aggressive insults” on social media after posting messages asserting the ethnic diversity of Roman Britain.

The historian had been defending a BBC schools video that featured a high-ranking black Roman soldier as the father of a family, prompting a wave of online abuse. One person said she was “literally rewriting history”.

She said the tone of the debate left her dispirited. “It feels very sad to me that we cannot have a reasonable discussion on such a topic as the cultural, ethnic composition of Roman Britain without resorting to unnecessary insult, abuse, misogyny and language of war, not debate.”

Beard, a classicist at Cambridge University, who is well known for her robust responses to Twitter trolls, was one of those who pointed to evidence that there was at least some ethnic diversity in Britain under Roman rule.

There followed, she said in her blog in the Times Literary Supplement, days of attacks on Twitter, which she described as “a torrent of aggressive insults, on everything from my historical competence and elitist ivory tower viewpoint to my age, shape and gender [batty old broad, obese, etc etc].”

The abuse got worse, she wrote, when Nassim Nicholas Taleb, a professor of risk analysis in the US and author of the best-selling book The Black Swan, joined her critics.

Large groups of people are on the move, desperate for usable land. Data from NASA satellites reveals an overwhelming degradation of agricultural land throughout Africa, with one recent study showing that more than 40 million Africans are trying to survive off land whose agricultural potential is declining.

At the same time, high birthrates and lengthening life spans mean that by the end of this century, there could be as many as four billion people on the continent, about 10 times the population 40 years ago.

Some Kenyans see Laikipia’s land problems as a black-white issue because most of the biggest ranches and wildlife conservancies are owned by a handful of families of European descent. Kenyans have complained about the size of the white-owned farms, saying many were stolen or unfairly acquired from Africans during colonial times. Some people in Kenya, black and white, are now making comparisons to Zimbabwe, where the government seized land from wealthy whites and redistributed it, often to well-connected elites. In many cases, the farms were run into the ground.

Much of eastern Africa is in the grip of an intense drought, with pasturelands drying up, and the white-owned properties in Laikipia tend to have the best grass. This is because the white farmers are relatively wealthy and have invested in their properties, building dams, creating watering holes, pumping from springs and caring for their paddocks. All that keeps the pastures healthy, attracting the invaders.

Because it's lasted 5 hours now. It's beyond a joke. That one guy is destined to be right in his shitty argument, but go back to the Queen Elizabeth II thread where this began. He didn't have a point then, and he doesn't now.

I think he's arguing for the sake of it at this point.

I'm not even claiming anything other than, "if the Queen wants to, she can speak her mind", which ought to be plainly obvious but the tripmong doesn't get it.
>>
>>136372165
You've been confusing precedent and precedence this whole time though so I don't know that you hold much weight.

I didn't you utter fucking mong. Go back 2 threads, and I was using precedent when PC posting but when phone posting it autocorrects precedent to precedence if I misplace a letter which is what I was using. My concept of it wasn't wrong and you haven't even followed this argument.

You also didn't say anything other than "the Queen won't do it", which is not only unknowable, but also wasn't the point I was making.

I said she can if she wants to, which she can. I also said she should, which she should.
>>
>>136372539
I said a lot more than that, we ended up arguing over the Indian colonies, and 1688, before you finally made your mind up on what your argument was in your quest to be winner of an internet argument - something you've failed repeatedly at to anybody who has bothered to follow this mess.

>Good squad player but he wanted to play games as he wants to get into Holland national side
Yeah, we need him in case you haven't noticed. He can play LWB,CB, and CM.

>LIABILITY
This I don't agree with but our main striker is a reject and has red hair from his failed move elsewhere

>But £40 million for a 29 year is great
We could have gotten so much more money from the retard woodward for him

>All we need is a player like Barkley or drinkwater to rotate
Both shit midtable memes

"If the Queen wants to, she can voice her opinion forcefully"

That's my point, and it has been since the beginning.

hang on you virgins have been arguing since 7am?
>>
>>136373356
I don't think it was that early. I wasn't even awake at 7am.
>>
>>136373259
Don't see you beating me on India there, at all. I was right on India, 100%.

However, I think the problem is you jumped in halfway through my debate with Eddie.

I never said the Queen was likely to speak her mind, just that she should, and can, speak her mind.
>>
>>136373356
Not sure why but when you look at the link just through the thumbnail, it says 7am but if you click on it, it says 12pm. It's been going on for too long though.
>>
>>136370849
Since the government of Africa and unable to fix the African problems, able cult leaders within the african society need to recruit the locals, thus supplying them with a structure and improving the lives of all members.
>>
>>136373556
You changed the topic entirely to blabbering on about finances and ignored every single bit of what my post was.

>However, I think the problem is you jumped in halfway through my debate with Eddie.
I was there from the start. The argument was 3 posts old by the time I had stuck my nose in, and that's only because I couldn't bear to listen to you being wrong any longer.

It was autistic letting it drag on for 7 hours. By this point, if showing him reality is the only thing that will kick him out of his utterly ridiculous points, then so be it.

You haven't said anything once to suggest I was incorrect in my statement.

Again:

"the Queen can voice her opinion forcefully, and probably should"
