Uhh, not that worried about it. Getting my ADN at a CC and the private university I'm working on my BSN has a great deal with the CC so it's not a lot. I mostly want to go because I feel I need to have more discipline put into me, want to experience some radically different shit (travel), great way to work on getting more exp while working on getting benefits (maybe pay for my MSN), and etc.

I like the Navy out of all the branches because it seems like more successful people come out of that branch compared to the others.

Officers definitely have a better quality of life and pay over enlisted. Be prepared to play politics though, and suffer through a LOT of stupid policies and shit that defies logic or common sense. I've come to the conclusion that intelligent people can only last so long in the military (usually not past 2 enlistments/contracts) because of all the non-sensical bullshit. The ones who stay in until retirement mostly 1. Know they have no other, better options, 2. Are too stupid for the bullshit to bother them (ex. deck division types). Just my two cents.

I am actually glad that I didn't do any college when I was in. I placed into Math 91 and I am glad of it....I forgot soooo much since high school. If you take college level math while you are in you better make sure you retain it, because the VA won't pay for you to go back and take a course that you already took (I do work-study in the Veterans Center at my campus and we have to explain this to people often).

I read there are huge problems with the EMALS as far as reliability. I think the contractor that supplies them started out making the Predator Drones. Hopefully they fix all the bugs. But man, those steam cats launching F14's (or anything) off the flight deck is certainly a sight and noise to behold. The loudest shit I've ever heard. That's for damn sure. I have a great respect for all the squids that work on the flight deck.
