A strange trend I've noticed is the rainbow color scheme in may of the videos. Reds, Blues, Greens, and Yellows dominate the thumbnails which are most often sexual or perverse in nature, this makes me think there's some kind of mental programming occurring. But again, it could just be clickbait.

Seriously, think about a dumb Youtube meme trend and then think whether it got any "investigative journalism" coverage. Most of these channels, from what little I've seen, usually disable their like bars and comment sections, likely for the express purpose of hiding the negative reception. If the videos were being positively received, why would they want to hide the like/dislike ratio and the comments?

This is my theory.

Despite the people who say that this is about online censorship, after watching too many of these videos, I am pretty sure this is about conditioning children towards violent, sexualized behavior - the frequent conflation of common phobias with violent or sexually suggestive themes seems designed to cause deep-seated emotional trauma in young children, and there are some frightening "MK Ultra" unlisted videos that associate colors with triggers that often appear in these videos (Spiderman, Kender Eggs, etc).

I have heard this before, but I am still skeptical on that - after all, the people doing this certainly have it within their capabilities to fabricate all manner of things (including tens of thousands of Elsagate videos in two dozen art styles, including live action and clay-mation, most with similar themes), and as such the hiring of a "band" to make some disturbing videos before disappearing is entirely within their purview. There are only like 30 or so different videos that are duplicated over and over across multiple channels and given different thumbnails and names, and Youtube's automatic system just sends you from one to the next for hours. The Elsa stuff is one group, the Mickey Mouse stuff is another.

Even if the video was shoved into the "science" hole, it would still have 1000x the average view count of technical science videos, easily. If we divorce my example from its specific instance, and not associate the videos with "poop" videos, "pee" videos, "bathroom" videos, "jail" videos, "Spider", "color", "song", and the ten thousand other easily-indexed words that make up all of these titles, it would still serve the same purpose. We're all aware of how Pewdiepie got big. This is not similar - his content was completely divorced from the method employed. These videos are exploring these ideas, in scarily graphic detail for young (under 5) children, using some of these words in the title, using images in the thumbnail, and using stock sounds which a person is guaranteed to hear tens of thousands of times over the course of their lives.
