I think the concept of multiple values within the same religion is interesting. Venus and Mars have contrasting valuea associated with them for example.

Christianity and liberalism support some sort of single universal and absolute set of values.

Nobody alive today really believes that Thor or Jupiter exists, but we could do with adopting a more pragmatic system with more options.
