If to want to find the root cause of the world's conditions and problems now you can trace them back to world War 1.
Even modern art and philosophy, that were slowly emerging in the fringes of culture find a massive audience after the war.
It's the beginning of end of European power.

If I could live in a pre war 20th century Europe forever I would. But now we'll probably never go back. We'll never have defined roles in society. Ever have a small local communities that stay close together. Ever have a church to look to guide us, a king to look to protect us and a flag to love and honor.
