English people are everywhere here now, and there's no way to stop them from voting. This is especially obvious when you look compare Edinburgh and Glasgow. In Edinburgh you're just as likely to hear English accents as you are Scottish, so it's not surprise they voted strongly No.

Glasgow has kept its identity as a scottish city, and voted Yes.

We'll get there. I imagine if the colonies had a referendum of all residents instead of a 'day on the green', the result would probably be a close-run thing.
