If you use it as an example of "large scale terrorist attack" then I guess the Bataclan and Bastille day 2016 in France don't count, though those would be considered large scale by most people, since we didn't have that shit in the civilized world until the kebabs arrived.
Terrorist attacks larger than those actually aren't too rare in the Middle East, particularly Pakistan. But those are neither newsworthy nor important to us Westerners because it's the fucking Middle East.
