I'm not going to tell you about odd circumstances as Pizzagate is something that's been a tip-toe issue for a lot of people. When the story broke, the conspiracy theorists (general term) was stressing others to be careful about it. I wasn't so concerned myself, to be frank.

The reality is, if those events are connected, it's a fear tactic. It would be there to induce psychological stress and a fear response to get you to not look. If you're determined to go forward, then go forward. If not, drop it and do what you do.

If need be, buy a gun and install a few cameras. If nothing's happening after that, then it's just something else. Best bet is to upgrade your home security anyway. Who knows, you might catch the guy while you're armed and he isn't. You can't shoot him if he's unarmed but you can ask questions and call the police.
