Why do so many people have this misconception that white people are this evil race of opressors that constantly try to undermine minorities? It's like they never met a white person. I'd like to think "treating people equal" is common knowledge nowadays, but it seems like if blacks and others don't constantly reminds us about it the west will be "whitewashed". Why do white people constantly have to be bombarded about being racist or xenophobic when very few have these qualities or their intentions get misconstrued to fit these qualities? It's nonsense.

When you are leeching from a system you know you and your people never contributed in to, it makes sense to demonize those you are wronging. They need to rationalize their position in society. Blaming "whitey" is an easy way out of personal responsibility.
