Not sure. On one Hand it would be funny to see how Muslim terrorists just can't drive their cars into masses of infidels, and dindu nuffins can't just steal a car'n'shiet to flee from the police. On the other hand it also means that your car can be controlled by companies - completely. And if you belong to a group of people with "unpopular" opinions, then there surely is a way for the politcial party in power to "persuade" your car's company to make an "accident" happen.

That shit can already be done pretty easily, look it up on Youtube. Many cars that have that self-parking shit have a motor attached to the steering rack to be able to turn the wheel, it can be hacked to steer the car against the drivers will.

Decision is pretty stupid considering there is no infra in india support such things for now.
It would take decade or probably never for AIs to steal driver jobs in here.
It will only discourage R&D in that space. So many people were working on AI and self driving cars. They are just going to give that edge to chinks while everyone else trying to control innovation by banning and concentrating on turning them into politically correct.
