Evolution and the origin of humanity as it is currently taught has numerous huge holes but we go right on teaching it as-is because admitting that there are serious doubts to it would admit that we don't know the whole story and extra terrestrial or supernatural forces might be back on the table.

It would appear the reason I keep making this choice is because having/being infinite makes everything boring, like a puzzle that's finished. I choose to scramble the puzzle so I have something interesting to do: put the puzzle back together.
