So as of yesterday, the West Virginia governor Jim Justice switched to the GOP and will no longer be registered with the Democratic Party.
Technically Donald Trump now has enough state governors to call for a second constitutional convention to add or remove amendments, add, edit and/or remove articles, or maybe even write a new constitution altogether to replace the old one.
This method has never been tried before and he would still need of both the house and senate for this to happen (do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though). But I wonder if this is his endgame /pol/?
Could this actually happen?

My understanding is that it requires control of the statehouses. We aren't close to that, but we would be pretty close if we kicked Hawaii and California out of the union then annexed California as a territory.
A while back I scribbled on an envelope and the conclusion I reached involved with recall elections in four states.
It's a shame your thread died on the vine, though.
It's one unlikely but possible future.
That'd be an interesting paradigm shift
