I would say that a mandate would be unethical, since it violates their reproductive freedom. However, you could offer free sterilization for low IQ people. You could even pay them to get sterilized.

I'm all for eugenics, but just an IQ test is not what I'd go for. You'd need an athletics test, a skill test, an IQ test, a knowledge test, a Math test, a hand eye coordination test, an eye test, a hearing test and probably others.

Not only that, but you can't sterilize people, it just won't work. Instead you should just pay the top 15% of people when they have kids.

Just require them to have a photo ID to be allowed to give birth? Problem solved.

Unfortunately you're correct, though the long term gains would be spectacular and it would rather quickly resolve a great many societal problems.

That being said, solutions like the one you offered are the only viable solutions since people would have similar complaints if the solution I suggested was put forward in a democratic context.

The big problem is that even the ethical solutions like the ones you suggested would be decried in the court of public opinion.

Another thing I considered is to have sterilization tied to child benefits. I.E. in order to take in child support money from the government you must submit to sterilization. In this regard it's still entirely voluntary and it's not tied directly to IQ, though it would still primarily affect low IQ populations.

relative to the general population? I'm actually quite surprised by that. While /pol/ certainly features some behaviors/ideas that I dislike, I still would think they are much smarter than average, if for no other reason that the forum sort of selects for people who are actually interested in reading and writing about politics.

Most definitley, I personally don't discriminate based on race whatsoever.

If you're of reasonable intelligence, are personable, and hard working then I would love to count you among my personal friends. However, if you're stupid, belligerent, and lazy then I'll probably want nothing to do with you.

That being said, it's just an unfortunate coincidence that more blacks fall into the latter camp than the former.
