I watched this fight. Pretty evenly matched in the first round, to be honest. Hawes (black guy) is faster and more technically skilled, but as soon as he starts losing he just collapses. You can kind of see it in the video - after only a couple of strikes his defense comes apart. Marquez (the white Hispanic) was able to talk a few hits early and then take advantage of Hawes' weaknesses. The head kick finish was fairly lucky, but the fight wouldn't have lasted much longer in any event - he was in pure survival mode at that point.

I strongly encourage /pol/ to watch UFC, if for no other reason than to cheer on your race. There's usually a card every weekend, and up-and-comers fight Tuesday nights.
