>tfw to intelligent for /pol/
same here. I have never seen jews get more hate from the left than market-libertarians.
>Jews are smart with money
Go figure. Of course these jews know what they're talking about. The jews that push for Keynesian economics know that it's destructive, but they push for it because they are sinister and know how to profit from commie bullshit while the rest of us suffer. Austrian economics allows the goy to become the jew too.
>>136012289
Please stop recommending Karamazov before Crime and Punishment just because it's more "Christian". It's not easy to read right off the bat

The Wrong Way Home by Arthur Deikmann. It takes a look at cult mentality in everyday life and offers pretty good insight into the mechanisms of human group behavior. The book is one hell of a redpill that will change the way you look at various ideologies.

Starship Troopers.
Never saw the movie, but the book is redpilled as fuck.
>>136009418
Try reading some D.H Lawrence or Evelyn Waugh. Both are great writers of prose and reactionaries(Lawrence is more of pagan reactionary).
Read your Cicero.

Why would you put notes from underground so low?... and then nausea from that commie sartre above it? Did anyone actually read these books or is this picture the imagination of a college socialite?
Lucifer's hammer by Larry Niven.
>>136014381
bump up BNW and NfU and bump down Atlas Shrugged, The Stranger, and 1984 and you have a pretty solid list

I don't understand why /pol/ would approve of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the seriesĂĽf only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but itĂĽfs certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books are g-g-good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King

I really don't believe people here or on /his/ or /lit/ read even a fraction of the books listed. I have in the past tried to get into discussions about classical philosophy or Russian literature on all three boards and am only met with memes. I've never seen a post on here that implied the writer had even read Plato's Republic properly
do you guys skim them and then claim to have read them or something?
>>136021269
No I read some but I mainly store them on my amazon wish list and work through it.
>>136009418

>>136021470
I'm not trying to sound like an elitist schlong but I just like the medium of anonymity for discussing literature and philosophy; but everyone here just seems to meme about it and not know anything
>>136021634
You should go to /lit/ and make /bookclub/[book title] and discuss exclusively that book there maybe
has anyone here actually sat down and read Savitri Devi or just encountered out of context quotes of hers? She is an absolute schizo crazy whore
>>136021761
I have
fewer people read on /lit/ than here to be honest. It's always just Pynchon and DFW these days too
