From the Atlantic:
>The CIA has traditionally had control over who fills this position, and normally the job is staffed by a more experienced official. McMaster, assuming he’d be allowed to relieve or reassign Cohen-Watnick, had gone so far as to interview Cohen-Watnick’s potential replacement, Linda Weissgold, a veteran CIA officer.
>Despite that early controversy, Cohen-Watnick retains one of the most consequential intelligence jobs in the nation, and his influence is rising. He is in the thick of some of the most important policy fights at the White House; he is viewed as an Iran hawk and has been characterized, for instance, as a main proponent of expanding U.S. efforts against Iran-backed militias in Syria. And beyond policy specifics, he’s become a flashpoint in the long-running tension between Trump and the intelligence community, a part of the U.S. government that the president has at times openly disdained.
Who exactly was Ezra Cohen-Watnick in NSC? Why wasn't McMaster able to fire him in March?
Why was he fired now?
Idk how to feel about it
I don't like McMaster but this Cohen-Watnick guy seems to be a kike warmonger

There's more to this story than we're being told. Cohen-Watnick was 31 in a key National Security position. That itself was notable, but his alliances with Flynn and Bannon imply there is a deeper part to this story. Whether it is the Iran hating Flynn crowd or McMaster's muh Russia the whole system is rotten.
The question is if Linda Weissgold is still going to replace Cohen-Watnick.
Linda Weissgold has to be blocked

So Cohen-Watnick was the link between the NSC and the spooks.

>McMaster already tried to fire Cohen-Watnick earlier this year, but was rebuffed by President Trump after White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner intervened to keep Cohen-Watnick in his job.
>A source close to Kushner said “Jared is a big fan of Ezra’s and is grateful for his contributions to the administration as part of the NSC but obviously completely defers to General McMaster on all NSC personnel decisions. He looks forward to seeing what’s next for Ezra.”
Why did Bannon and Kushner work together?

A 31 year old career intelligence officer is too valuable to just shitcan. We'll see more from him.

If he's a mole they'll stick him in jail.

If he's a mole they might. This is already bigger news than anyone wants it to be. CIA operatives in the stan thought he was a DIA mole. Supposedly this was before he met Flynn.

Well who knows, I wouldn't trust him if he came in under Obama.
