Not proud but fortunate, I am born into a better position than many other people. This country is on a very fast decline and sometimes I feel overwhelmingly sad for my two kids being brought into such a tumultuous environment and honestly sometimes I wish my great grandparents never immigrated here. All I can do is set my children up for a better future, even if it means leaving the only place I've ever known, it feels selfish to not have an exit plan. I tell myself things will get better.
