They have a nice house in Oklahoma. $350,000 house with six bedrooms, a pool, a fully equipped kitchen, and a basement that's been converted into a small movie theater. My dad always proudly tells me that it will one day be mine because I'm the oldest. But I don't want it at all. Oklahoma is a terrible place to live. So after he dies I think I'm just going to give it to my sister or we'll see it all and split the money between me, my brother, and my sister.

Nothing we have has any long lasting value, or appreciates in value over time. That part of history is long gone. We will pass nothing onto our children in our 70s-80s. We hold nothing of true value anymore.

What's worse is, when my parents went to clean out the grandparent's house and they called a dumpster... they tossed antique pre WW2 bicycles in the dump and joked about how they were gone the next day. $2k each perfect condition. Grandad had 6.

They threw that out. An "old car" that wouldn't start and was in the garage for years they put up a sign that it was free and gave it away. It was some classic 1936 Pontiac in great shape while I am back here driving a $3k Piece of shit focus. Some kid put sand in it long. AGo so it only had a few thousand miles on it and was stored in a dry garage all this time. Easily $35k value.

Old American wood furniture, whole room set. They split it up between family and one aunt left those pets in her garage for the next 10 years.

What have they tried to give me? Porcelain thrift store shit. And lots of it. And old jars. They brought back a truck load of this shit but threw out more money than I see in a year and joked about it.
