The truth is just as basic as you'd expect. The South was just a region of proud people. A distinct culture different from that of the North. The south would have been able to keep itself afloat. Had (((Lincoln))) not gotten involved and purposfully destroyed it, and committed war crimes against his own people. Who gives a shit, you could have never won. The North at that time was one of the most industrialized places on Earth, while you had fucking niggers picking up cottons. Imagine that's better for winning wars - fucking machines or cotton.

It really is no point getting salty about parts of history that could never go the other way around - American Civil War is one of these things.

In 1862, Britain and France were literally about to recognize the confederacy as a country, break the blockade, and supply them with the industrial goods that they lost from the north after the war began. Had some dumbass not left Lee's orders under a tree for McClellan to find, Lee and Jackson probably would have gained another major victory somewhere in Maryland or PA, and this would have very likely pulled Britain in to intervene and call for peace.

There were several other times that the South could have won the war. Had they won at Gettysburg, when Union morale was at war-long lows from being whipped at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville and also changing generals after each defeat, it's very possible that Lincoln would have tapped out as his main force beteeen Lee and Washington would have been routed.
