Why are you not a neoplatonist, pol?
It combines all the best elements of Platonism, Aristotelianism, and Stoicism, and makes it compatible with gnostic paganism and early christianity (which are just heuristic devices for understanding the philosophical principles outlined in neoplatonism.
It combines aspects of universal instantiation from Aristotle and Plato, who in turn borrowed or synthesized their positions from the ancient egyptian and pythagorean cults.
The best part is that neoplatonism is not monolithic, eagerly awaits criticism, and has many offshoots and types.
What makes neoplatonism so great, in my view, is that it generates a maximum of explanatory power (both in the sciences and in philosophy) from a rather simple metaphysical/ontological starting point.
Neoplatonism is not uncontroversial and is seen as kooky, metaphysical gobble-dee-gook by many brute naturalists and materialists/physicalists.
All the more reason to be interested in it IMO.
I should feel bad for that click-bait title, but I don't.
