The ability to use YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, 4chan, and any and all internet services is indeed a privilege, not a right.

Think about what that means. Many of us have become complacent with this idea that these on-line services owe us fair treatment. They don't. They are business that can do whatever they want. Somehow we can let ourselves view them as governmental, with mandatory responsibilities and accountabilities. Now we've become dependent on them.

(The pic related is a quote from 4chan's Global Rules. http://www.4chan.org/rules)

By the way, those government assured rights we are used to are not universal constants. Governments could update their "Terms of Service" too.

True
Everyone who disagrees, is a leftist cuck
>>
>>135868056

Yes, which is why the government should tax large corporations that behave in a subjective way for their own propaganda purposes, such as Google and YouTube.

They make money whilst trying to change the political system through propaganda.

If they want to be in the US, they should come under the constitution.

The ability to maintain your position in society has been redefined by the information age and the internet. It might be a privilege right now but in the future it will be a necessity. Same as with utilities.

You mean like freedom of speech?
>>
>>135868056
Wrong. They are public forums and subject to the 2nd amendment.
Don't like it?
Don't provide service in the USA.
This is how this bullshit should be handled.
Our rights in America are God given rights meaning we don't need men to tell us that we have these rights.

How about you suck my dick? I've evaded over 20 vans and I'll keep doing it. 4chan is about freedom of speech, waddle back to your retard friendly circlejerk sites.

Also, the supreme court ruled that businesses don't get to choose who they serve, hire or fire. They have no rights.

WRONG.

It's a privilege for 4chan to have our traffic. Same goes for any site.

The wonderful thing about the internet is that there is no end to cheap realestate. We can make our own sites for pennies on the dollar. Something you will never understand, kike. We don't "need" you or this shitty site. Even now I got 2 other chans tabbed that have better information, a better community, active mods (to stomp out kikery), and even a better site layout.

You kikes moved in here, shit on the carpet, and now expect us to rebuy our own fucking home. You even call it a "privilege". Don't fucking patronize me, you filthy shylock rat. I do as I please on the internet. So fuck off.

As a whole, no. But businesses own and operate the lines, the electricity, the servers, the software (open to debate, I know) and most of the infrastructure.

Private business could be easily deemed a public space if its monopoly.
Comparing 4chan to the big 3 its apples to oranges.
If you think any government would allow them to just purge every right winger for example, just because they own that business and they are free to do it however they like you are a fool.
>>
>>135870065
Look at it this way, if you set up an online forum, wrote the code, purchased server space, paid for fast bandwidth, would you want the governments marching in and telling you what you can and can't do with your site?

Tell that to the christian bakery that doesn't want to make wedding cakes for gays.
Tell that to the smart company owner that doesn't want to hire blacks.
Government has imposed plenty of restrictions on business that align with constitutional values.
>>
>>135871926
I never said it should be any particular way, but right now we have this impression that we should be allowed to say what we want online. The online sites believe they can run their own show as they please.
Now YouTube is censoring like mad, and we have no weapons to fight with. What do we do, sue them?
>>
>>135870943
traffic can be a burden on a site if it's just going to make the cost of running it go up if you don't have any way to maintain upkeep, 4chan almost ceased to exist dozens of times because it was run by a minor who could bareley manage heavy server load while being flat broke.

>>
The use of a brain is privilege, not a right
>>
>>135868056
I disagree.

The internet was given to us all for freedom of information and freedom to exchange ideas. These "businesses" are just tools of doing that. By monopolizing and then abusing their ToS to basically censor opinions off of the internet for good, they are taking away which was given to us all.

If you want to connect with people, you have to use a few designated social networks, or you're not going to be doing much communicating. Before Twitter, Farcebook, or even Myspace, google searches showed a lot more "amateur" websites than they do now. It's nearly impossible to find sites that aren't commercial, unless it's on some crappy "blog" website like blogspot.

So, their ever changing "ToS" monopolistic practices are gradually closing in on our freedom to exchange ideas.
>>
>>135872227
Twitter is being sued.

https://www.wesearchr.com/bounties/lets-suetwitter-for-discrimination-censorship-antitrust-viol

But you're right, we have very little resources to fight it. You can start up your own video service, but I doubt very many will switch. vid.me made a big entry, but I don't think it gets even a hundredth of the traffic youtube does.

Well, there are avenues, but those are all illegal. So, I would not advise them.

the free speech meme is over. Specifically in America, its not the government who censors speech, but corporations who are immune to things such as the first amendment. They get to say, "its my site," or its "my property."

Aaaand then you start being forced to bake gay wedding cakes.
OPs thread brings up an issue currently not dealt with.
This one is going to be a biggie, and it will go all the way to the supreme Court.
The only solution will eventually be pure hugbox sites all over that like minded people jerk off in together.
We are going to become much more divided as a people before we ever get closer in the rhelm of ideas.
We are in a cold civil cultural war for sure.

You can say whatever you want:
- over the phone
- text messages
- emails (non-work)
- PM's
- in person, quietly, to select people

You cannot say whatever you want:
- Over radio broadcast (gov't regulated paths)
- TV (gov't regulated paths)
- any non-TOR internet forum (privately regulated)
- yelling in the street
- in person, quietly but to the wrong person

Kill youtube kill facefuck
this should be Trump's #1 tech and free speech priority

replace them with a meshed network of competing platforms so they're not data scams hoarding all the data the users have put on over the last 8 years. you'd have meshtube and meshbook and youtube and facebook would just be one company of 10 or so competing all interlocked together so that users see videos/posts even if the friends/creators are using another platform. end this data scam rape of the public square & ideas

end Zuckerfuck Data Scam Enterprises and ADL terror thoughtcrime YouFuck
