Basically think of the daily soaps they used to play while you were at school on basic cable. Now that's what game of thrones is except they show all the sex and shit and it's more violent because it's HBO. But make no mistake it's boring ass melodrama. And it fucking sucks.

It's fun but progressively gets worse as you go in quality. S1 is the GOAT, S2-3 are solid, S4 is a slight drop but still pretty good, then S5 and S6 are pretty shit with the only saving grace imo being the last two episodes in S6. S7 is garbage unless one of the villains Cersei or Euron is on screen. The good guys are wooden and boring as hell.
