You may all have your reasons for voting Trump, but this one was mine. As a white male, I started despising affirmative action since I graduated high school. Let me share with you all I nice little story as to why I fucking hate affirmative action
>be me
>18
>4.0+ GPA (weighted)
>independent studies college courses with teacher advisory in free time after school
>good athletic record (undefeated state champ multiple years running)
>went to top 20 high school
Enter the girl that started it all
>no sports
>some clubs/extracurriculars but nothing exceptional (NHS blah blah)
>As and Bs at a D ranked high school
>Somali
>Born in US
>Very vocal
>firm believer in "muh patriarchy," "muh systemic racism," etc
As you can imagine, you can guess what happened next. She got into a bunch of Ivies with very generous financial aid packages, and I got denied. Every. Single. One. Maybe I wasn't better than Wang the next state over, but I was definitely better than her. This destroyed my confidence and made me doubt myself every day since then. Literally contemplated suicide. That kinda woke me up to everything, that was my first redpill. I cannot look at a minority/woman in a position of power/success without thinking they got there through AA.
Fuck affirmative action, and I hope Trump fucking does something about it

I understand your pain. Ended up going to community college for 2 years and finishing my B.Sc. at my original university choice. By then, admission was easy, and even more sweet, most of the obvious AA admissions from HS had dropped out by then.

Exactly. So many AA admissions flunk out or don't do well at all. It's such a fucking waste
