Will we ever awaken the proles?

Not really. The marxists tried to have a revolution using the proles. It didn't work. Now they're using cultural marxism and it doesn't target the proles in particular. They've kind of become their enemy.

If there is hope, it now lies in the betas.

They may become politicized if they get a taste of real poverty. That has a way of focussing the mind.

I suspect that may happen in their lifetime, but probably not in the next decade or so.

Life is good enough that there isn't a huge need to concern themselves with the trajectory of society. It's only a small group that pays attention to the past and contemplates the future.

Beyond just apathy and contented inertia, they have been actively socialized in a way that will be pretty counterproductive.
