If you're joining to get some action. Fuggedaboutit cuz we're an I'll equipped second rate force. While we were once pretty goid. The slow erosion of canadian society has begun percolating through to the armed forces and the quality of personnel is now fast declining. In my 7 years, I've seen a rather abrupt loss of standards. People are much less professional, officers in particular are absolute garbage at the junior level.

RMC has gone bonkers and now churns out either preppy douchebags or autistic weirdos. The guys and gals we get from civilian uni aren't much better since they're generally poorly educated. The troops care less and less because everyone knows the government gives no shit about us eiy

Have to agree with this guy. Use it as a stepping stone if anything. Certain jobs translate quite well to civi side. Most do not. Good luck.

Thats the thing. I've gone to unoversity but due to certain circumstances I will likely have a year free. I dont plan on getting a job with the military but I wanted to possibly do bmq and go on reserves
