This. Crime spikes in both periods were related to hard drugs. Cocaine/H-bomb in the late 60s through 70s and then the crack wars in the 90s which nearly destroyed places like Harlem and BK. Scary ass times.
I worked in all those neighborhoods from the early 2k on and saw the rebirth. Will be crazy if it falls again.

I don't know how anyone misses the 60s or 70s. I guess there was some good music/movies made during that time but overall they seem like really filthy, disgusting decades.
