If he thought he had a right to his viewers money, wouldn't he be putting his content behind a paywall? I think the way he asks for small donations as a "trade" for viewing his content is reasonable. If you don't like it, you don't have to pay him, and you can even continue to consume his content.

I listen to Stefan a lot and I don't donate and I don't feel guilty. His call in show is good but I think his best content is his in-depth topical presentations like "the truth about sex" and historical bios. He rarely produces those anymore. I think the most recent one was "The Fall of Rome". Those types of videos are the only ones I would consider valuable, and everything else is Rush Limbaugh tier.

His attitude in his most recent videos has been horrendous. He has been moody and curt with his recent guests and his attitude is sour. After watching this video I feel like taking a break from stefan.

I agree with him. I think by actually making a response video to explain why he's not begging, he's definitely trying too hard, but he makes a good point.

There's nothing wrong with asking for money for your YT efforts. He puts a lot of time and thought into his videos. His books make money so he could be writing instead.
