I understand wikileak's ethical creed of "not revealing sources", but this coyness is going too far. They basically did it with Chelsea Manning even though it was definitively proven that she was the leaker. Now they are doing this with Seth.

Looking over the lawsuit along with Rod Wheeler's tweets has me thinking that Rod Wheeler didn't actually flip as some are suggesting. Wheeler states in the lawsuit that Butowsky and Zimmerman "had created fake news to advance president Trump's agenda"... but what if they were actually creating that fake news while purporting to act on behalf of the Whitehouse in an attempt to smear Trump. Perhaps they even tried to entrap the president in this plot by soliciting cooperation and failed, so they continued as planned and simply claimed that the Whitehouse was going along with them. They were trying to poison the well because they were aware of some serious happening on the horizon.

If that's true, then bringing a civil lawsuit would be a great way to present evidence of this and get everything on record. Wheeler's initial complaint could always be amended once the depositions start to roll in.
