I love how the ministry of truth tries to distort reality or inconvenient realities plaguing American society.

The opiod epidemic that is killing more people than traffic deaths and other fatalities combined per year is because of unregulated medical service providers and pharmacists! It has nothing to do with a large portion of the United States living in misery or despair needing the comfort of something to dull their senses, right?

Vast numbers of prime age working men dropping out of society or the workforce is because of their chronic addiction to porn, drugs, and video games! It of course has nothing to do with outsourced jobs, low wages, automation, foreign imported workers, low quality and income jobs available, inaccessibility to a good education, older workers working longer, or the deindustrialization of the United States. No, no, it's definitely all the porn, drugs, and video games, don't you see?
