As a prosecutor, at least over 50% (easily) of my criminal cases involved illegals. All sorts of crimes. Drug offenses, DWIs, as a misdemeanor prosecutor. Then as a felony prosecutor, all the big crimes: rape, murder, battery, etc.

The taxpayers cover the cost of their defense. Which typically involves paying attorneys thousands so these guys can take a plea deal. Minor shit released to ICE so they can swim across the border and commit more crimes. So many repeat illegal offenders. If a felony, they go to prison, where they cost taxpayers tens of thousands to house and supervise.

The cost to Hidalgo county house these criminals is an estimated $2.5 million/year.

And medical services for illegals runs over an estimated $10 million a year in Hidalgo County alone. This in a county that's one of the poorest in the nation.
