Im starting to have similar experiences. Eaxample. This past Saturday I left my apartment for a trip to Home Depot. When I was pulling out of the drive at home I noticed a blue Nissan pickup that I have not seem before and a suspicious looking man acting like he was messing with whatever was in the bed of the truck. But to answer your face value question, yes I've known a few paranoid schizos. I've known ones that were induced from amphetamines. I've known ones that were induced from familial socialization/upbringing, I've known ones who inherited their neurotic mother's behaviors.

People can overcome any perspective deficiencies that they have the willpower to, provided they have an inlet that allows them to take a step back. Trust is the biggest thing to build with them, sometimes it takes an amount of self-sacrifice to do it. It's a two-way street, and you have to honestly believe the person is worth it (as they do with you).
