I mean it's probably ok to visit, Japan has an interesting history if you're into military shit. It's both, but "WHY HAVEN'T THEY APOLOGIZED???" re: Japan's war crimes is one of the most tortuous subjects, in that it's fraught with legitimate concerns and criticisms, but also swarms of opportunists in Asian countries who play grievance games and misinformed retards who think Japan has done nothing, and that this is all because Japan is so immoral and ultranationalist and not that the Allies arguably are heavily at fault, like pardoning Hirohito, Unit 731. There's also the agreements over Taiwan, one of which was Japan would not pay reparations to China.
