Have we ever had a president to shrink the US government? Seems like ever since Washington it's only gotten worse and worse.

Libertarians will never get a pres because the party is an intellectuAl circle jerk that can't relate to 70% of the populous. However, corporations will eventually get tired of pretending the government is sovereign, they will stop funding congress, the courts, elections, etc, and the federal gov will crumble, make way for a corporatocracy similar to what libertarians want

2016 was the best opportunity since the party's founding to win the presidency, or at least make some kind of headway but they completely blew it
no one wants to win they'd rather stay quirky and weird and have their little think tanks and never have to do anything serious like campaigning
