The root cause is this.
White men are discriminated against cradle to grave.
The average white male grade is lowered radically, while the average female and minority grade is inflated.
The effect is that white males flee to non-subjective subjects aka stem.
And when The girls actually have to compete in an unbiased system they realize they don't have the intellect for it and drop out.
You can't "fix" stem until you make girls get bigger grades than they should and white males lower.

I think this is the big problem. We've all seen people at uni/college who will argue with a professor over something that has a right and wrong answer trying to claim that they should still get credit even though they were wrong. It's almost universally women who do this.
