Europe, japan and other western countries (China has also done the same effort since the 90's or so) has put a lot of effort into moving as many people as possible into the service area of the workforce.
America hasnt put as great an effort of doing so. America with lots of natural ressources, and a corporate capitalistic economy kept a bunch of naggers and white trash in the industry sector of the workforce,cause it was needed.
