How should children be introduced to the idea of different races?

I personally believe that when it comes to raising a child you should keep everything as "pure" and apolitical as possible until they're pubescent. Just teach them basic moral concepts and discipline them when required. If I had a kid and they saw another kid from a different race and asked me about it I wouldn't go on about all the differences between races and cultures etc. I'll just tell them that kid just happens to have a different skin color because their parents did or because of the sun or some bullshit. Then as they grow older I'll explain to them in more detail and also let them figure things out from experience.
I also wouldn't let them know about sex, drugs, war, terrorism, and other adult subjects.
