They were already priming people to the WW2 narrative before it was happening!

Orson Welles managed to convince an entire nation of an alien invasion through one single radio broadcast.

What if they convinced many nations through a synchronized fabrication on global radios/newspapers/filmreel mediums.

It would be the greatest prank ever done on the world. And honestly would not have been impossible to do at the time.

After WW1, the armies of the West had begun uniting and realizing that fighting each other was a waste. I think the current powers of today saw that the West was still weak after WW1 and saw a unification from it that scared them, so they came up with a fake sequel to the war, even involving a made-up jewish boogeyman false opposition to dramaticize the ultimate showdown of ideals, and they fabricated the entire war's death and destruction in order to convince the world that one ideology was evil, and the other was good, and that the "good" ideology would always defeat the "evil" one.

In a way, it was live-action propaganda.

WW2 killed like 50 million people and destroyed a couple countries almost entirely. How do you fake that? It would be easier to just start a war.
