best part of the debate was ben exposing cenk's hypocrisy, and it's something I hadn't considered. I also consider whether removing money from politics may be a good idea (it's a bipartisan issue), but Ben brought up an excellent point. Cenk shilled for Bernie hard, which was worth A LOT of money (bernie would gladly pay millions for that kind of positive and wide-reaching press coverage). Cenk says his contribution is just speech and covered under the first amendment, Ben says it's no different than a campaign contribution. If you think Cenk shilling for Bernie should be allowed but campaign contributions should be you're essentially saying that only the media (or people with large public platforms) have the right to contribute meaningfully towards their chosen candidate. This is quite obviously even worse than the current system where anyone can contribute.
