Great Britain fought and won two world wars. 1 in 5 military aged men in WWI were unfit for service. The government needed a strong population to fight wars. Thats where Homes for Heroes developed, the idea that everyone should have running water and a functioning toilet. Then you have the second world war, the post war boom economy, and a racially homogenous society. People dont mind seeing their tax money go to others, when we feel affinity for others. If you see a homeless person, and they look like a family member, it has a far greater emotional reaction. Communities banded together. Plus the threat of communism made the government want to take care of its population.

The European economic community changed this, plus the fall of communism, and mass uncontrolled immigration. Now, most people do not want their tax money going to people who have just arrived in the country. now we have no community. Now the homeless and poor do not look like us. A strong population means a healthy population that is capable of work. Now, there isnt enough work, too many people, so if a baby dies in a hospital, who cares, theres a million muslim babies ready to replace them.

Besides the NHS has been privatised, presciptions must be paid for, but the money goes to Virgin not to the NHS. So money is literally being taken out of the NHS at the same time its being overburdened with a huge number of people.
