The Spanish-language history teacher was a dumb cow that didn't give a fuck... you could go to her during the exam to ask her questions "about the wording" and she would end up answering the questions for you. She was also ignorant as fuck, I got into an argument with her about 19th century Argentine history (not really relevant here) and she contradicted me, turns out I was right.

However, we also had English-history classes for our Cambridge IGCSE exams, and the English-language history teacher was based as fuck. He was an elderly old school Anglo-Argentine that knew the entire history of every little town and city in the country. He would tell us anecdotes about the times when he went hunting, about his family fighting in WW1, and would bring videos from History Channel (back when HC was actually good) to watch in class.

My junior high history teacher was an old hayseed during the Bush era. The worst I got was a tearjerker film about an Afghani woman seeking asylum because she was going to be stoned for teaching kids to read and write.

My high school history professor was a literal clansmen and I loved the man. His German grandfather had a saying, "America before God, God before family." I was in the AP history class (advanced placement), and the teacher kept flunking me on tests because i kept questioning what he taught. This was pre-internet (class of 1999), so i legit had to go to the library and read about opposing views. He eventually got my parents involved, who agreed that I should be put in a remedial history class. Not only did I pass that without paying attention, I had fairly riveting conversations with my teacher, a recent college grad. While the AP class was learning that the civil war was because of slavery, we were discussing the ramifications of federal oversight on state slavery, and why the democrats were getting rich from negroes while republicans wanted the northern economy to catch up.

Now it's called red-pilling. I wonder what Mr. Winters is up to these days...

In my history class when studying the WWII we never even mention Japan, Italy, Africa, Australia or whatever. The whole narrative only focused on Hitler vs Stalin during 1941-1945. Even the period 1939-1941 was almost entirely omitted. No one in Russia has heard on the Nanjing Massacre of Unit 731.
