This. Gasburners will be the first to go on the day of the battery
>>

Oh thats so so sad you think that.. lol. Cuck.
You can buy foreign Cara if they're used, just don't buy new imports. And never buy an electric car.
>>
Buying a car might not be , but buying milk from a neighbour just because it's 2 cents cheaper is economic treason in a nutshell. Most countries don't even build cars. In a country which doesn't build cars, sending it to repairs of the build country or a neighbour, or an immigrant owned shop(US excluded, because it's all immigration level is untrackable since the last 2 generations.) is however, economic treason.

>>
>>135553178

Toyotas are made in America while domestic cars are mostly made in Canada and Mexico with Chinese parts. So no, American cars are shit and should be avoided.
>>
>>135553989
Toyotas are pretty much the main example of this though. GM still does the majority of their production in Michigan, granted they use Windsor Canada for a lot of stuff for what I'm assuming is tax evasion purposes.

Yeah but it's not just designed in Japan. The assembly is taught and closely monitored by the Japanese to make sure white people don't fuck it up too bad. Even they they are probably not as well built as when Japanese cars all came from Japan.

Electric cars are literally a meme. Just an in-between shit solution that only works for city dwellers who could walk or take public transport anyway. Hydrogen cars are a much more viable solution.

Besides, producing an electric car pollutes more than the production and usage of an old gasoline car.

It didn't stall on me in the morning at an intersection, it didn't break down on me late at night when I was trying to get home from work, the check engine light didn't pop on when I was stuck in traffic and then stop and I would have to get out and push it to the side of the road and look like an asshole till AAA showed up and hour and a half later.

Oh god OP, you posted my favorite car of all time. Shit is so stylish, and I hear a full production could be on by 2020.

On-topic, it really depends on if the car is actually made in one's own country. I would have no problem buying a Subaru WRX since they're made here in the US, for example.

https://www.autotrader.com/car-shopping/buying-a-car-are-american-cars-less-reliable-241040

>Our Take
>If you've been paying attention to the automotive industry recently, you'll know that American trucks have become just as reliable as their Japanese counterparts. Unfortunately, many drivers remember an era when this wasn't true, so they continue to believe that American cars lag behind foreign rivals when it comes to dependability and longevity. While there are still some bad apples, we think this generally isn't true, and we'd feel just as confident buying an American car for long-term ownership as we would feel about buying a Japanese car.

I am just saying the shitty dealership was the icing on the cake. The cars were craptastic and always breaking down. I have had 4 Lexus since my dad bought his first one (I bought them used) and I haven't had any problems with them besides the usual maintenance.

I have been in two accidents (both times hit by drunk Mexicans that totally destroyed my car) and both times the cars did their job in protecting me and I wasn't hurt (thank you God).

So I am not going to stay with what works.

>>135555576
I go to Lexus dealership and I am treated like a King. If there is anything major they give me a loner car.

Both Ford and Plymouth dealerships were terrible, rude and made you feel like you were going to the DMV and bothering them from talking to each other.

Why would I go back to that? That attitude hasn't changed. My girlfriend has a Ford Mustang and she is always talking about the shitty care she gets and she couldn't believe how different it was at the Lexus Dealership.

I want to follow the "be American, buy American" but until the Ford and GM dealerships learn something called Customer Service I am going to stay where I am.

Same thing with my family. My dads worked in construction for over 3 decades, and has owned 8 American trucks in his lifetime. After his new '11 Ram's transmission shit the bed at 54k, I loaned him my Tundra since I was going on vacation with the family. My old man almost didn't want to give me my keys back. Drove him to the dealership the next day and picked himself up a new Tundra. It still runs like new and he treats his trucks like shit.

American cars are fucking Trash. Couldn't pay me to drive one.
>>

The article is discussing all vehicles from the US in total to say in general, quality and satisfaction is up, but here's one that touches on cars:

>For an example of what we mean, consider J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study, which looks at 3-year reliability numbers for new cars. In last year's study, seven of the 19 segments included were topped by American cars, including large sedan (the Buick LaCrosse), large SUV (the GMC Yukon), and of course, most pickup segments. By comparison, Japanese automakers topped nine of the 19 segments in the study.
