I don't see the problem with Obamacare. Is it really bad that people rely on the government for health insurance?

Obamacare essentially is just government subsidies being given to private companies under the wishful thinking that this would entice them to give out better coverage.
It didn't happen.
So instead what happens is people are left with no coverage or they hope to get on Medicaid which is requiring more and more money which we don't have to put into it.
It is fairly bad to rely on the government for 'insurance', since what inevitably happens is they start writing checks for ridiculous amounts which is how we got into this situation in the first place where people can be charged $2k to stitch a finger cut.
You have to have a system where an entity is wanting to pay less so they can negotiate for lower prices, which cannot happen if the government is just paying whatever the healthcare providers are saying they want.
