Hey everyone. I just remember that the Nazis had sophisticated computers for their time to encrypt and decrypt messages passed through the Reich.

My question is: If the Nazis won the war, what would the Nazi computer industry evolve into?

What would nazi PCs look like? Would there be a hobbyist computer movement? Would there even be Personal Computers or would they--given the collective nature of national socialism--emphasize a centrally controlled mainframe with terminal access for those that needed it? Would there even be Internet or the Web (especially in its ancap form, but definitely not world wide because of nationalism), or would there just be partitioning of virtual space on a mainframe for use between businesses and authorized personnel? I'd imagine there wouldn't be websites like 4chan and its rampant degeneracy, but also no way for autists to meld their insights together in the power of Kek. I don't think piracy would be allowed to flourish, but for that matter, what would the stance on intellectual property be in the Reich? I'd imagine no DMCA and the early Unix way would probably be emphasized with code being in the public domain like Stallman wants, just with heavy access control and strict physical clamp on hackers and pranksters, which means IT Security wouldn't have a chance to develop unless there really was a world wide Web that nazis allow other civilisations to become a part of (doubtful). Would the OSI model even form?

I imagine far better than the current technology, top that along with how Japanese push tech even further, we'd have super computers in almost every house hold.

But would it be worth it for the hobbyist? Or would they cite terrorism as reasons not to grant the common man their own personal computer? Would they even let productivity be sacrificed for playing games? If so, would an e-sport system develop like a virtual Nazi Olympics?

Everything would look like a Mac

But would there also be iphones or mobile development? There'd have to be pressure to minimize size of computers and get them personal. Unless we would have dumb terminal phones, but I wonder how that would work.
