men have had to go to war, protect and provide from the beginning of time. those are our top evolutionary pressures, and those things strongly select for intelligence. we don't go to war with claws and teeth, we go to war with weapons, tools, strategy, etc. providence (eg. economic success) is also highly correlated with intelligence

women's chief evolutionary pressures are childbirth and ability to successfully raise children (eg. lactation, nurturing, etc.); those have more to do with her body. the mental part of it is more emotional than intellectual
