As usual, it should follow the 'good plan bad execution' way.
You can't just get a plan and do it. You have to create options, opportunities and such. The plan itself won't do shit.

Was already planning on moving to New York or D.C. After my government service. It does pain me, though, that my vote will mean nothing in those two places. I'm originally from Ireland and grew up in the south, so moving up north to make something happen

...to make something happen with my life. The most intelligent option would be to take said gains from businesses I ran while working in government and taking that talent to businesss school and then working with a trading firm. From there, making a name for myself, if motivated enough, which I feel I certainly am, will be difficult but attainable, especially if, during all of that time, I'm simultaneously working on growing a social media following by tweeting or making YouTube videos about politics.
